I took the kids to play with Abby & R.J. on Monday. Ms. Nancy told me that she still puts R.J. in his "baby jail". That way she doesn't have to worry about his safety when she needs to get some things done. What a great idea! I now can take a shower and know that when I get out, Noah will not be running around with steak knives. Woo Hoo! Thank you Ms. Nancy

It's a flatter!
As we were leaving our house this morning, we saw that they were paving a part of our neighborhood. Lily said "hey mom, look there's a flatter" After a second I figured out that she was referring to the steam roller.
Always getting into things!
Lily & Noah's Open House
We went to the kids Open house at school this week. Here are a few pictures of Lily in her room. Noah was too worried that we were going to leave him at school to smile for any photos.

Too Frozen to Hunt Eggs
Today, we went to a "Jesus Treasure Hunt" at the church we have been visiting. It seems like every year in the few weeks leading up to Easter the weather is warm and beautiful. As soon as Easter weekend approches BANG it's freezing! So I dug out all the kids winter gear that I had already packed up in the attic and we put on our game faces and took the cold head on. Noah was first up to hunt and he looked frozen stiff before it even began (see how "eggcited" he was!). They opened the gates and let all the "two and under's" loose. Noah took his basket and walked through the sea of eggs and just stood there.
We tried to encourage him to pick one up but all he would do is bend down like and old man and point to the egg. After mommy and daddy threw a few in his basket (we didn't endure this cold for nothing) he finally decided to pick up some. When he figured out that the other kids were getting "his" eggs, then he was interested.

More Easter Fun!
Lily seemed to enjoy the face painting and the games at the church. It was nice because everything but the actual egg hunts was inside. The kids enjoyed hot dogs, chips, popcorn and candy. We went outside again when it was Lily's turn to hunt. They announced that there was one special striped egg. If you got the special egg you would win a prize. So when the gates opened Lily ran out and bypassed about fifty eggs to look for the striped one. When she turned to look at me like " I can't find it. What do I do?" then I yelled "just pick up eggs!" Even though she didn't get the special egg she got so many eggs, her basket was full. All in all we had a great time. Oh and I forgot to mention that Mawmaw & Pawpaw came too, so that made it "eggstra special"! Okay, I'll stop with the puns.

Earlier today I had some errands to run. I have been so busy making what seems like a million Easter favors for all of Lily and Noah's class friends. My mind was working overtime trying to think of the least painful and most efficient way to drag two toddlers in to multiple stores. When we got in the car I said thinking out loud "Where are we going?" Noah yells out "The Mall!".
Okay, I'm guilty! We go to the mall at least once a week so I can go in more than one store without getting the munchkins in and out of the car a hundred times!

Soccer Practice
These are pictures from Lily's soccer practice last week. She does really well for the first 45 minutes or so and then she starts to lose interest (notice her playing in the dirt).
