Dirty Kids

Since the weather has been nicer, the kids play outside for a few hours everyday. They love to play in the mud and find all kinds of bugs. I have never seen two kids that LOVE to play with worms so much. Yesterday, Lily put several worms in Noah's sock and rolled them up for safe keeping. YUCK! I made her take them all out before she brought the sock in the house so I could wash it.

Kitchen and bitchin rhyme...

Yes, when you have a five year old that is very interested in reading, writing and rhyming you hear some very strange things.

Last night in the bath , Lily was rhyming words, some were real words and some were made up to go along with what ever word needed a rhyming partner. Toy and boy, mother and brother..... kitchen and bitchin (what!).

This television season, I have been keeping up with The Bachelor London Calling. Lily is usually up at this time and she has been watching it with me. Last night the bachelor said goodbye to one of the final three. As she was leaving in the limo Lily said "Can't he just give her a rose to take home!". Ah yes, in the mind of a five year old, it's all about the rose.

Definitions by Noah...

Workercise- what mommy does at the gym

last morning-this could mean yesterday or the last time he did whatever he is talking about.

Drawing Daddy

Lily was drawing a picture of a person on the magnadoodle and I asked her who it was. She said "it's Daddy in a handsome suit". A "handsome suit" is a tuxedo! Soooo cute!

The Botanic Gardens

Today we went to the gardens with Lily's friend, Elsa. the kids ate a picnic lunch and fed the fish. The weather was perfect and we can't wait to go back again!

T Ball Time!

Rain, Rain, Go Away.......finally, Lily got to go to t-ball practice. She did really well but seemed to be bored as the practice went on. An hour and a half is a long time to focus, especially when there are friends to talk to.
What a mess. After raining for two days straight, the ball field was very muddy, but lots of fun for Noah.

Go Tigers Go!

Friday was Tiger Day at Lily's school. So I decided even though I really could care less about basketball, that I would join in on the fun. I made basketball sugarcookies for her class. It was my first experience with royal icing and I think they turned out pretty cute. They were yummy too!

Cupcake pops! How cute are these?

I found this blog a couple of weeks ago (Bakerella) and now this chick is going to be on Martha Stewart Thursday for cupcake week. Be sure to check it out! I don't know if I'm more impressed with her baking or the photography!
