Fun at the lake

The kids love to draw with chalk on Mawmaw and Pawpaw's driveway. This morning, everybody got in on the fun.

First Fondant Cake

This was my first experience with fondant and it really wasn't that hard. I helped Kellie make Ava's cake for her 2nd birthday. I thought it came out great and it tasted great too!

Interior designer in the making?

Here is a picture that Lily drew of her room. She has included her bed complete with Troy and Gabriella pillow, dresser and T.V., bedside table and lamp.

Go Team!

Lily participated in a cheer clinic last night. They practiced their cheer on Thursday and performed during halftime at the game on Friday night. Here are some shots of her with her friend Natalie and getting a "group hug" from other classmates. The girls had a great time and loved every minute of cheering like the big girls!

Well, I didn't waste any time!

Yeah, I know I just posted that my camera was broken this morning, but I got a new one today! I'm soooo excited. Of course it might take me a month to figure out how to work all the bells and whistles on it, but in the mean time I can take lots of pictures. Here are some shots i took today on auto focus. Some with the 70mm lens and some with the 75-300mm lens.

Labor Day Weekend

We went to the lake over the holiday weekend. Jon, Michael and Marabeth met us there. We had a blast and I actually wake surfed a time or two.

Speaker on Godly Parenting

I went to PDS on Friday to listen to a speaker named Gordon MacDonald. He spoke on godly parenting and raising boys. To all my friends who have boys and even girls (he has a daughter as well)...I hope that you will take an hour out of your day, after you put the kids to bed, to listen. SOOOOOO GOOD!
